Recovery

I particularly love helping clients who are suffering from depression, anxiety, phobias, social anxiety, compulsions, procrastination, addictions, personality disorders, and relationship problems. If you or your child has one or more of these, the good news is that Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or TEAM therapy can be tremendously helpful and can lead to dramatic relief and you can experience much more joy in your life, often without the need for any medications. The bad news is that this requires hard work in order to achieve these results.

You would have to be willing to come in for two-hour sessions and make treatment your major priority, even if it meant occasionally missing some school or work. You would need to do about 20-30 minutes per day of therapy homework which would include things like reading certain books or filling out worksheets. You would also need to exercise multiple times per week and get out of the house, even when you didn't feel like doing any of these things. And you would learn a set of skills for how to change your thoughts and feelings so that you would have control over these no matter what the circumstances. I offer an excellent chance for you to have much more happiness and a more satisfying life but it is not easy and it is not for everyone. If you are still interested in working with me, please feel free to contact me and I will be happy to talk with you.
